If you have shopped for a FiveM server recently, you have probably seen a second option appear next to the familiar one: FiveM Enhanced. It is not a marketing tier or a premium upsell — it is a genuinely different build of FiveM, targeting a different version of GTA V, running a different server binary. Enhanced support is still far from universal, so we checked each provider's own site rather than trusting listicles. Below are the four hosts we verified, followed by what Enhanced actually changes and whether you should migrate yet.

The Rankings

The best FiveM Enhanced hosts in 2026

Plenty of well-known FiveM hosts still do not advertise Enhanced at all — ZAP-Hosting among them at the time of writing. The four below were each verified as offering it on their own site, and are ranked on hardware, Enhanced-specific tooling, global coverage, and value.

01

ServerPrism

From €8.32/month

Best Overall for Enhanced

ServerPrism treats Enhanced as a first-class product rather than an afterthought, with a dedicated Enhanced offering you select as a server type at checkout. The hardware is the strongest of the group — AMD Ryzen 7/9 chips chosen for single-thread speed, DDR5 ECC at 5600 MHz, and PCIe Gen4 NVMe — which matters because Enhanced's client-server sync model puts more work on the server than Legacy's P2P did. Servers ship with txAdmin, and runtime switching lets you move between versions from the dashboard without losing data, which is genuinely useful while Enhanced is still in Early Access.

  • Dedicated FiveM Enhanced server type
  • AMD Ryzen 7/9 · DDR5 ECC 5600 MHz
  • PCIe Gen4 NVMe · 10 Gbps uplinks
  • Europe, North America, Asia, Australia
  • Ships with txAdmin · runtime switching
  • Included MySQL database
02

CloudNord

From £4.61/month

Best Value & Global Coverage

CloudNord runs a separate FiveM Enhanced product line on the new cfx-server binary, and is refreshingly upfront that it is Early Access rather than pretending parity with Legacy. Their nine-region footprint is the widest here — including São Paulo, Mumbai, and Singapore — which matters more than raw specs if your community sits outside the US and Western Europe. They also confirm the same Cfx.re license you already use for standard FiveM carries over, and offer one-click txAdmin plus a free trial to test Enhanced before committing.

  • Dedicated FiveM Enhanced product line
  • Runs the new cfx-server binary
  • 9 global regions inc. Brazil, India, Singapore
  • One-click txAdmin · free trial
  • Existing Cfx.re license carries over
  • Enterprise DDoS · 99.9% uptime
03

Evolution Host

From €6.99/month

Best for Running Both Versions

Evolution Host lets you pick Enhanced or Legacy during checkout at no price difference, which makes it the easiest option if you want to run a Legacy production server and an Enhanced test server side by side without learning two panels. Hardware is competitive — 5GHz+ CPUs, DDR5, and NVMe storage — and always-on DDoS protection is included, with dedicated FiveM mitigation available. The main trade-off is less transparency about which specific regions serve Enhanced.

  • Enhanced or Legacy chosen at checkout
  • No price premium for Enhanced
  • 5GHz+ CPUs · DDR5 · NVMe SSD
  • Always-on DDoS protection included
  • Dedicated FiveM DDoS option
04

Revive Hosting

From $4.99/month

Best Budget Entry Point

Revive runs a dedicated Enhanced tier and is the cheapest verified entry point on this list, with a two-day free trial that is ideal for kicking the tyres on Enhanced before you commit a community to it. Hardware punches above the price — Ryzen 9, DDR5, and Gen4 NVMe across the range. The catch is footprint: servers deploy from the USA and Germany only, so players outside North America and Europe will feel the latency.

  • Dedicated FiveM Enhanced tier
  • Ryzen 9 · DDR5 · NVMe Gen4
  • Two-day free trial
  • USA and Germany locations only
  • ESX, QBCore and standalone supported

What FiveM Enhanced actually is

FiveM Enhanced is the multiplayer framework built for GTA V Enhanced, the modern PC re-release of Grand Theft Auto V. The FiveM you have run for years — now called FiveM Legacy — targets the original release. The two are separate platforms with separate server binaries, and Enhanced is still in Early Access, meaning feature parity with Legacy is an ongoing project rather than a finished one.

The practical headline for server owners: your players need to own GTA V Enhanced, not the older Legacy version from the Rockstar Games Launcher. That single requirement is the biggest factor in whether migrating makes sense for your community today.

Diagram comparing FiveM Legacy peer-to-peer sync, where six players each connect directly to every other player, with FiveM Enhanced client-server sync, where all six players connect only to a central authoritative server.
The core architectural change — Enhanced drops peer-to-peer sync for an authoritative client-server model, which shifts work onto your host.

What changed under the hood

Enhanced is not a recompile of Legacy — several architectural decisions are genuinely different, and a few will break resources that have worked for years:

  • Client-server networking — Enhanced drops peer-to-peer synchronization entirely. OneSync big mode is now mandatory, and player connection events only fire when players are in range.
  • .NET replaces Mono — C# developers now need the .NET 10 SDK.
  • New server binaryFXServer.exe becomes cfx-server.exe, with archives renamed to cfx-server_win_x64 and cfx-server-linux_x64.
  • Pure mode is always on — it can no longer be disabled, which restricts client-side graphical modifications.
  • Asset escrow is not implemented yet — a significant consideration if you rely on protected paid resources.
  • Removed features — ARQ automatic resend, HTTP/2 support, the old DevCon ports, the server ImGui GUI, and the Mumble voice system have all gone, the last replaced by a newer voice implementation.
  • New convarssv_syncTickRate (1–120, default 60) and sv_resourceFileDownloadTimeout arrive; developer mode now uses sv_devMode true instead of the old launch flag.

Converting your assets

Cfx.re ships a tool called Alchemist for converting existing assets to work with Enhanced. Expect custom vehicles, peds, and props to need a pass through it — this is where most of the migration effort actually goes.

Should you migrate yet?

For most established roleplay communities, the honest answer today is not yet — but start testing. Early Access status, missing asset escrow, and asset conversion work are real friction, and asking your entire playerbase to own a specific GTA V edition is a meaningful ask.

The low-risk approach is to keep your Legacy server live for players while running a second, cheap Enhanced server purely for testing and converting resources. Several hosts below make that easy — either by letting you switch runtimes from the dashboard, or by selling Enhanced at the same price as Legacy.

How to choose between them

If you want the strongest hardware and the most polished Enhanced tooling, ServerPrism is the pick — its runtime switching is genuinely handy while Enhanced matures. If your community is spread across Asia, Oceania, or South America, CloudNord's nine regions will do more for your players' ping than any spec sheet. If you want to run Legacy and Enhanced side by side under one panel, Evolution Host makes that painless. And if you just want the cheapest safe way to experiment, Revive Hosting's trial is the lowest-commitment door in.

Whichever you choose, the fundamentals from our 2026 hosting guide still apply — and arguably matter more here. Enhanced's client-server model shifts work onto the server, so single-thread CPU speed and fast NVMe storage carry even more weight than they did on Legacy. Our RAM sizing guide and optimization guide are both worth a read before you commit, and you can compare every provider we track on our homepage rankings.

The bottom line

FiveM Enhanced is the future of the platform, but it is a future still under construction. The networking rewrite and the move to .NET are real improvements; Early Access status, missing asset escrow, and asset conversion work are real costs. Treat it the way you would any major engine migration — spin up a cheap Enhanced server, convert and test your resources with Alchemist, and move your community when your content is ready rather than when the marketing says so.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is FiveM Enhanced?

FiveM Enhanced is the version of FiveM built for GTA V Enhanced, the modern PC re-release of GTA V. It ships a different server binary called cfx-server and is a separate platform from FiveM Legacy. It is currently in Early Access, so feature parity with Legacy is still evolving.

How is FiveM Enhanced different from Legacy?

Enhanced drops peer-to-peer sync for a client-server model with OneSync big mode always on. It replaces Mono with .NET, renames FXServer to cfx-server, always enables pure mode, and removes features such as ARQ automatic resend, HTTP/2, and the old Mumble voice system. Asset escrow is not yet implemented.

Do I need a different hosting plan for Enhanced?

Yes — you need a host that offers the Enhanced server binary specifically, since it is not the same software as Legacy. ServerPrism, CloudNord, Evolution Host, and Revive Hosting all offer it as a separate product or a checkout option. Your existing Cfx.re license generally carries over.

Should I move my roleplay server to Enhanced now?

For most established communities, not yet. Enhanced is still Early Access, asset escrow is not implemented, and many custom vehicles, peds, and props need conversion first. Keep your Legacy server live for players while running a separate Enhanced server to test and convert.

Do players need to own GTA V Enhanced to join?

Yes. FiveM Enhanced targets the GTA V Enhanced re-release, so your players need that version rather than the older Legacy release from the Rockstar Games Launcher — an important factor before migrating an existing community.
